I’m writing this from the airport lounge in Rome, waiting for my flight home. The trip is now finished, and the last three days were some of the busiest of the whole trip. May 6th - A Lucky Break in Assisi (and Discovering Spello) Today, I drove from Perugia to Assisi to film inside the Papal Basilica of Saint Francis. I started at 9:30 and had the place almost to myself for nearly an hour.
